My Political Positions
Glenn Perry
I wrote this on October 11, 2024, a month prior to the presidential election that year and the accompanying ingress of Pluto into revolutionary Aquarius. It was in response to a question from a friend about where I stood politically
on the various issues of the times.
Over the years, I’ve grown stronger in my conviction that conservative governance is the ideal: maximum freedom, minimal regulations, rule of law, free markets, strong borders, robust military, low taxes, and small federal government.
A conservative recognizes that government is necessary for the preservation of inherent rights and maintenance of civil order. Beyond that, a conservative encourages self-reliance, promotes personal responsibility, and does not demand of government what the people are individually and collectively capable of doing for themselves.

Conserve what works. Especially, preserve the Constitution at all costs. It is a thing of beauty. Keep the electoral college as is and prevent the Supreme Court from being expanded and restructured for political ends.
Stabilize the economy and protect our currency. Inflation is a hidden tax whose main cause is deficit spending. If you play Russian roulette long enough, it will kill you. We must excise the deep state, get rid of unelected bureaucrats, and drastically cut government expenditures, especially welfare programs that incentivize out-of-wedlock pregnancies and undermine the black family.
To assure election integrity, voting should take place on one day, in person, paper ballots only, and require proof of citizenship.
Illegal aliens should never have the right to vote. They were not merely allowed entry to America; they were imported precisely to vote for the party that imported them. At the very least, it is blatant fraud by those culpable. Illegals should be deported and their enablers indicted. Zero tolerance and maximum penalty for electoral fraud is imperative.
Diversity is not an unambiguous strength since it is subject to the law of diminishing returns. Too much and it fractures national unity, undermines mutual trust, and triggers regression to tribalism.
Build the wall at our southern border and militarize it until the invasion stops. Open borders is a premeditated crime that violates Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which obligates the federal government to protect states against invasion.
The apparent goal of open borders is to inject massive amounts of illegal drugs, sex trafficking, and criminal gangs into America to exploit the ensuing chaos for political gain and “fundamentally transform America” into a one-party socialist state.
In 2023 there were more deaths from fentanyl overdoses (74,702) than from the entire 20-year long Vietnam War (58,220). Multinational gangs trained by Iran and transported from Venezuela to our southern border are terrorizing American cities.
Numbers don’t lie. During the four years of the Biden-Harris administration, “criminal non-citizens” (convicted rapists, murderers, and thieves) crossed our border illegally at an average of 15,764 per/year, increasing each year. During the first Trump administration, the average was 5,058 per/year, decreasing each year. In Trump’s final year (2020), it was down to 2,438. In 2024 alone, at least 25,000 criminal migrants will have illegally entered the U.S., some of them having been flown directly from their home countries by the Biden-Harris administration.
This madness must end. People are dying for no better reason than the current administration is using open borders to monopolize political power while simultaneously accusing Trump of being a “dictator” and “threat to democracy”. As always with the left, every accusation is a confession.
Too many democrat leaders follow Saul Alinsky’s prime directive: “Accuse your opponent of what you are doing, as you are doing it, to create confusion, cloud the issue, and inoculate voters against any evidence of your guilt.”
America first. Strong countries grounded in self-interest make better global partners. Globalism will organically evolve from the bottom-up via prosperous, well-bounded, differentiated nations, but will destroy itself and its host if prematurely forced from the top down. The UN, WHO, and WEF are cancers masquerading as cures.

Keep intervention in foreign countries to a minimum and stay out of unnecessary wars (as in Ukraine), but always support Israel’s right to exist. Peace through strength should be our guiding principle. But if we must fight, hold nothing back. Half measures prolong wars; disproportionate response deters.
I want more police, tough-on-crime policies, and the death sentence when warranted. Murderers, rapists, drug dealers, and child traffickers are good candidates for the latter. Open air drug markets are parasitically and inextricably entwined with homelessness. Shoplifting should be reinstituted as a criminal offense. End no-cash bail and quick release of violent criminals. Crime won’t go away without putting criminals away.
Homosexuality should be tolerated in all its various forms, and is certainly deserving of compassion. However, children should not be indoctrinated in public schools with LGBQT and gender fluid propaganda, nor subjected to drag queen story hour in public libraries or pride parades on city streets. Compassion is not approval; tolerance is not endorsement. Normal should be renormalized, clearly differentiated from abnormal, and unapologetically promoted.
Education is for transmission of knowledge and development of character, period. It is not for recruitment of children into sexual practices of dubious morality. Schools must inform parents when their sons and daughters show signs of gender dysphoria. Parents have the sole right to determine what is medically necessary for their children. Government has no say. Families first.
Adolescents should be protected from “trans-affirming care“, which is an oxymoron and devil-in-disguise. Hospitals have a financial incentive to permanently damage normal development through puberty blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, removal of healthy breasts, and genital castration, all of which are enormously profitable and create patients for life. We are sanctioning an army of Dr. Frankensteins.
At 24-weeks, a fetus is viable outside the womb. A compromise, therefore, is that abortion be legal until the 6th month, after which it should be illegal with the usual exceptions pertaining to rape, incest, and the mother’s safety.
To discourage skyrocketing out-of-wedlock pregnancies that lead to abortion, a renaissance in religion should be championed in all its myriad forms—except Islam, which is less a religion than a political virus. Restoration of traditional morality is imperative.
Pornography rots brains, especially children’s brains, and is one of the most virulent forms of addiction. The porn industry should be taxed and legislated into oblivion. We are drowning in a moral sewer.
Eliminate the department of education and expand school choice. This is one area where diversity is a good thing, for it stimulates competition. Hiring, promotion, and college admissions should be based on meritocracy (equal opportunity to compete), not equity (equal outcomes). DEI is a toxic pipe dream and can only be implemented through tyranny.
So called ‘systemic racism’ is a hoax perpetrated by race grifters to exploit white guilt for sins committed by other people in other times. Discrepancies of income and status are attributed to a single cause—white racism—despite evidence that failed government policies neutered black progress beginning in the mid-1960’s. Most notable amongst these policies were LBJ’s ‘great society’ and ‘war-on-poverty’ programs that decimated the black family.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is Marxism in blackface. It has no place in our schools. Racial quotas, affirmative action, and diversity-hires do more harm than good. Racism in America is vanishingly small despite claims of politicians seeking to fan the flames of racial animus and corral the black vote. Refute the lie of systemic racism by promoting strong families, meritocracy, and a color-blind society.
Restitution of ideological diversity is critically important in academia. Universities have become indoctrination centers for wild-eyed communists and social-justice revolutionaries. If Marxist professors continue poisoning the minds of our youth, it does not bode well for the future of the Republic.
Root out government censorship wherever present, especially in social media. It is a weed growing in the garden of discourse. Compelled speech is an affront to free speech and should be met with fierce defiance. No one should be forced to call someone Barbie when that someone is Ken pretending to be Barbie. A society bullied into denial of reality will eventually revolt against its oppressor.
Title IX should be relitigated to ban trans-identifying men from women’s sports. Men competing against women is not only unfair, it is unsafe. If boys wish to dress as girls and compete against other boys, then fine. It’s their choice. Everybody has the right to participate.
America is grossly over-medicated because Big Pharma has a perverse incentive to addict us to prescription drugs. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Drug advertising should be banned.
Transform our food production to eliminate toxic chemicals. Discourage unhealthy diets that are destroying public health. People are sicker in America than ever before. Wean teens and the public at large from addiction to smart phones. They are not helping. IQ’s and testosterone levels are plummeting.
Do everything reasonable to clean up pollution, especially in our rivers, lakes, and oceans, while not buying into climate hysteria or the war on fossil fuels. Technology will naturally evolve in ways that eventually replace gas-powered vehicles. In the meantime, we should make the best of the resources we have. Energy independence is an antidote to inflation. Drill baby drill.
Whoever gets to be President sits atop a 5000-person government apparatus. They don’t control everything by themselves even if they select many of the people beneath them. We are not voting for a person; we are voting for policies implemented by the 5000 people assembled by that person.
I don’t care what the candidate looks like, sounds like, or how virtuous they pretend to be. It is their political judgement and experience that matters—that, and their integrity, imperfect though it may be. As Madison said, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.”
Whichever candidate best implements the above policies gets my vote. To paraphrase James Carville, “It’s the policies, stupid.”

How did all that work out for us?
I’m sort of astonished at some of your positions.
Thanks for commenting, Georgia. How one feels about the current administration is apt to be largely determined by the media they consume along with their political affiliation, age, gender, educational background, and other factors. We are a nation currently engaged in an ideological civil war with each side inhabiting a parallel universe. Hopefully, we’ll survive the rupture and reconnect at some point, but I’ve no idea when that might be.
Hi Glenn,
Brilliant you could be writing about my own country the UK!
Thanks, Steve. There are definitely political and cultural similarities between England and America!
